Best Bar in Cincinnati: Odds and Ends One

This is the first of a couple odds-and-ends entries in The Cincinnati Man’s Best Bar in Cincinnati tournament.  You can vote in this division below; the rest of the current entries are available at these links here.

O’Malley’s in the Alley
Review excerpt:

Located in an alley off Vine Street near 3rd, O’Malley’s in the alley offers happy hour 4-7 p.m. Monday-Friday. Patrons can count on several Irish whiskeys on tap and multiple sporting events on the six TVs.

Plenty of pub grub are available: appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, salads – even grilled cheese. Therese’s homemade chili is the most popular item on the menu.

City View Tavern
Review excerpt:

This is my favorite bar in the city.  The view cannot be beat and it’s a dive bar with relatively cheap beer and decent food, it is also tiny…like only 10 folks can sit on the deck, but if you go there during the early day you have a cold drink and a nice time on a patio you have all to yourself.

The Stand
Review excerpt:

The service and drinks are about what you would expect from a lounge. They were priced about the same as similar places. What makes this place is the live music. It is worth a look.

Mt. Lookout Tavern
Review excerpt:

MLT’s is usually packed every night of the week; Tuesdays and Wednesdays are slower, but they still have a good crowd.  The bar attracts a good mix of young people: college students, young professionals, restaurant servers/bartenders, etc.  The bartenders are always laid-back and usually remember your drink after you’ve been there a few times.
