Progeria is what’s generally as “Premature Aging.” The disease begins in childhood and affects the sufferer by, you guessed it, rapidly aging them. There are no cures for this condition, and patients who have this disease usually live to their teen years.
Progeria is characterized by a narrow, shrunken face, the loss of hair, eyebrows and eyelashes, stunted growth, dry, thin skin, an overly large head, and delayed or absent tooth formation.

Every week, The Cincinnati Man brings you everything that was awesome on the Internet over the previous week. If you’re a time traveler who’s just come back from the distant past, you can catch up on past dump festivals here.
-There was all kinds of Star Wars shit on the Internet this week. As much as I don’t really care about Star Wars, I can’t not look at it all, you know?
-This headline is enough: Which Condom Holds the Most Air Before Exploding?
-Liquid Smoke is many things: disgusting, mysterious, awesome, tasty, and just plain weird.
-Laughing Squid broke off some awesome celebrity Dating Game appearances. Nice work!
-Bruce Lee + Nunchaku + Table Tennis = Awesome.
-I’ve been kind of half-watching the progress and appearances of this wrist-mounted flamethrower all over the Internet over the last six months or so. It’s so awesome. My birthday is March 4, for the record.
-This forklift driver fail showed up all over the Internet and I think it even made it to television during the week. Pretty wild stuff.
-The evolution of skateboarding, no matter how many times you look it over, is fascinating, and for a lot of reasons.
-The Wu-Note Project, reimaginations of Wu-Tang’s various album covers, is absolutely fucking fascinating and beautiful.
-This is probably treading a bit close to “work-like” material, but I found this expose on Telekinesis to be awesome.
-Pete Rose + Bruno = sad for Cincinnatians, par for the course for everyone else. I might write more about this later.

Every so often, The Cincinnati Man looks at the day’s date in history. Today is November 6. Shall we?
-In 1913, Mohandas Gandhi leads a march of South African miners and gets arrested.
-1935 marked the first flight of your favorite old-timey airplane and mine, the Hawker Hurricane.
-1944: The Hanford Atomic Facility produces its first plutonium. This plutonium is used in the bombing of Nagasaki.
-This date in 1854 is the birthday of John Philip Sousa.
-It’s also James Naismith’s birthday, and the birthdays of Edsel Ford, Greg Graffin, Pat Tillman, and Rebecca Romjin.
I think that today also marks the technical end of fall. So, bummer, I guess.
