Loading ...Greetings readers . . . once again, a list of minor annoyances for your review. Nothing big, but if you want to know why I have such a long face, it isn’t because Jersey Shore got renewed for a second season, its because of:
Hey, wadda ya think of this?
Perez Hilton – Actually, sometimes his twitter posts are mildly amusing but he proved this week that no matter what he says, it becomes popular – and that is annoying. He proved it last week by commenting about Katy Perry’s attractive nether regions (starts with a “va”, ends with an “a”, and has some Beefeater in between if you know whut I’m sayin’). Anyway, within an hour it was the number one trending topic on twitter and it ended up leading to an article on MTV news the next day. Seems like that guy can say anything, and it ends up being news. Puke.
iPad – The only Apple gadget I have is an iPod. This week, a big deal was made about the iPad – so big, that i got excited too, and I didn’t even know why. Problem was, after I heard about it and saw all the pictures, I still didn’t know why I would want one. It seemed like no one else was sure why they would want one either – those who did seemed to want it simply because it is new and cool. I guess I was annoyed that something had a whole lot of hype, and little payoff. Read the other Cincinnati Man article which I feel shares a similar viewpoint.
Super Bowl – I hate that I like both teams okay. It is kind of the Nice Guy Bowl – neither team is well known as teams we love to hate. Sure, people will prefer the Saints or the Colts, but I always hope for a game that it is obvious to me who I should cheer for. When New England or Pittsburgh is in it, it is easy to know who to cheer against.
Avatar backlash – I think people are thinking way too much about Avatar. The complaints that I read about it are too cerebral. For me, it was a pretty darn cool movie with some great FX. People were saying it had a weak story, looking back, I don’t see that because my eyes got nuked with awesome visuals for about 3 hours. Cool off, people.
Me - This is becoming more “This Month in Minor Annoyances”. If I want to build up a following or whatever, I am doing a pretty lousy job. Of course, I am trying to settle back into the Midwest, get a new job, do my old job long distance, so I guess I have excuses, but excuses are annoying.
Hopefully more soon . . . oh, and I actually kind of like the “Pants on the Ground” thing, sadly enough . . .
