 This post over at Building Cincinnati is kind of a bummer. It looks like Kevin LeMaster is marking the end of the always-stellar Cincinnati development/architecture blog, and that’s a shame. Came across this post at the ever-dumb Enquirer’s Opinionati blog responding to this story about Joey Votto that appeared in the Sunday NYT. The story itself made some offhanded comment about how OTR, and by extension, Cincinnati, is somehow a “Northern outpost of [...]  So, I came across this not-news item yesterday and there are a lot of things about it that leave a bad taste in my mouth. For those not wanting to click, here’s a quick summary. You might not know this, but TEBOW played at PBS on Sunday. Know what’s weird? The fact that the Enquirer is still picking and choosing what stories they’re allowing to have comment threads. If you’ve paid attention to this site in the past, you know that I’m an advocate of shutting the whole thing off, and the comment thread attached to this story is a pretty [...] I came across this story and thought it had a ridiculous headline, semi-rife with humorous possibilities: Solid Rock pastor to end family feud And then I read the story. Apparently, Darlene Bishop, one of the co-pastors of the Solid Rock Church, perhaps best known as the creators of Terminator Jesus, is turning over her late brother’s estate [...] I noticed this thingy appear yesterday and thought it strange that our dear newspaper is trying its hand at yet another blog. This one, though, seems to have a lot less direction: Our goal is to lend a megaphone to Greater Cincinnati and find out what’s on your minds.
