Sunday Sartorial – Suit Basics

The Suit

For business, choose navy, charcoal,  or gray.  Always remember that patterns are less conservative.  Err on the side of caution for business; choose a solid navy for job interviews, but feel free to choose a pinstripe, herringbone, or windowpane if you wear a suit every day.  If it’s 95F outside you can probably pull off the traditional blue and white seersucker suit, but don’t push it (warning: this is not a move for amateurs.) It is never OK to wear a black suit to a daytime business event.  People will wonder who died.
